This is Clark’s thirtieth suspense novel. It is a fast paced psychological thriller with identity theft as its main subject. The plot revolves around kidnapping and the conspiracy to ruin a woman’s life.
In the story Alexandra Zan Moreland, a gifted, talented interior designer is shocked to discover that somebody else is falsely using her credit cards and manipulating her financial accounts with an aim to bankrupt her. Further she has been drawn into such a trap that someone else is impersonating her. Thus the main protagonist is drawn into series of allegations of kidnapping and murder. One which has potentials to erode her reputation and social quotient. Zan’s son Matthew was kidnapped two years ago, the event which has left her dwindling in hope and despair. The story picks pace when Zan’s pictures surfaces kidnapping her own child. Zan is tormented by false accusations which she even in her distant dream would have never thought of.
Will Zan successfully nab her impersonator’s throat? Or will she end up as a meek victim of her cruel, street- smart offender.
